What happens if COVID-19 restrictions interrupt my travel dates?

First prize includes an allowance to help cover alternate travel or accommodation requirements should COVID-19 restrictions interrupt your plans.

Can the winner take cash instead of the advertised prize?

No. Prizes are as stated and are not transferable for cash.

What are the odds of winning First Prize?

There are 40,000 tickets available and are directly related to the number of tickets you purchase. For example, if you purchase 1 ticket, the odds of winning would be 1 in 40,000. 5 tickets, the odds of winning would be 5 in 40,000. 

What happens if I win?

The Foundation for the WA Museum will notify you. If a current daytime telephone number is on record, we will call you. A letter and email are also prepared immediately following the draw and mailed on the day of the draw.

I haven’t received my tickets. What should I do?

Please allow up to 24 hours for your Lottery purchase email to come through. Depending on your email provider security settings, your e-tickets may have been filtered to the SPAM or JUNK folder.

Is anyone prohibited from buying tickets in the Lottery?

Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and cannot purchase a ticket under the name, or for a minor.

Board members and employees of the Promoter and its agents, and their immediate family members residing at the same address are prohibited from purchasing a ticket.

Is this a registered raffle program and how do you allocate tickets?

Yes. Lottery permit number LS218393022 has been issued by the Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor and the permit holder is Foundation for the WA Museum.

The Foundation for the WA Museum is committed to full compliance with all legislative and permit requirements with tickets available through the non-profit platform Funraisin. All ticket purchases occur online.

Where do I find draw results?

Results for the Prize Draw will be published on the Foundation for the WA Museum website one day after the draw.

Major Prize results will be published in The West Australian on Saturday 24 September 2022. If drawn earlier, results will also be published prior to this date.

How do I make a tax-deductible donation?

The purchase of lottery tickets is not considered a tax deduction, however donations over $2 are tax deductible and can be made:

  • As part of the ticket purchase
  • Or by calling (08) 6552 7474, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
